Is it just me or is the Lucerne price skyrocketing?
I just paid R68 per bale at Equifeeds. 

Is it going to drop again?

Thought you got some lucern here at Uitenhage for a better price. But I'm not surprised by the price increases. The price of fuel just drives everything up. Plus the feed stores add their profit margin too. Best is if you can buy directly from a farmer.

Just wishing for some good rain, that will ease up on the feed bill, for me at least.

They shot the price up to R40 per bale and Someone took my load.
I have bought some very nice lucerne cubes now and my grazing is looking good.

Getting some grass for R18 per bale.

How did you know it was me by the way?

Luckly we have enough room to store the bales, so we buy for the whole year direct from the farmers! Wink
